The Sponsorship & Fundraising Director is a collaborative and mission-driven team member who plays a critical role in generating financial support that sustains and elevates the DMV Destroyers baseball program. This individual makes an immediate impact by identifying, cultivating, and managing relationships with sponsors, donors, and fundraising partners. By aligning businesses and community members with our mission, the Director ensures that our athletes have the resources they need to succeed both on and off the field.

The Sponsorship & Fundraising Director directly supports this mission by creating opportunities for financial partnerships that empower our youth to grow through leadership, resilience, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
• Identify and pursue sponsorship opportunities with local and regional businesses that align with the values and vision of the DMV Destroyers.
• Develop compelling sponsorship packages and fundraising campaigns tailored to prospective partners and donors.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with sponsors, donors, and community supporters through consistent communication and engagement.
• Plan and execute fundraising events, drives, and campaigns that generate revenue and raise visibility for the organization.
• Collaborate with leadership to set annual fundraising goals and develop strategies to meet or exceed targets.
• Work closely with internal teams and communicate frequently to explain fundraising and sponsorship objectives, ensure alignment, and keep all stakeholders up to date on progress toward financial goals.
• Track and report all fundraising activities, sponsorship commitments, and donor contributions, ensuring transparency and accountability.
• Represent the DMV Destroyers at community events and networking opportunities to share our story and grow our supporter base.
Skills & Qualifications:
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Proven experience in fundraising, sponsorship sales, or business development preferred.
• Creative thinking and confidence in presenting opportunities to potential supporters.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a mission-driven team.

Working closely with leadership, external funding agencies, and community partners, the Grant Director helps ensure that young athletes have the resources they need to thrive.

The Grant Director directly contributes to this mission by securing essential funding that enables our athletes to develop leadership, resilience, and teamwork while competing at a high level.
Key Responsibilities:
• Identify potential grant opportunities that align with the team's goals and mission, maintaining an up-to-date database of funding sources.
• Prepare, write, tailor, and submit compelling grant proposals that communicate the team’s needs, objectives, and impact.
• Oversee the tracking and management of awarded grants, ensuring compliance and proper fund utilization.
• Cultivate relationships with grantors, sponsors, and community partners, effectively sharing the team’s vision and successes to encourage ongoing support.
• Ensure all necessary documentation is in place for grant applications, reporting, and audits.
• Act as an ambassador for the DMV Destroyers by promoting our mission, values, and achievements to the broader community and potential funding partners.
